Education

Vladimir Kolesnikov graduated from the Stavropol State Medical Academy in 1996 with a degree in medical medicine.

Career

1998-2007

From 1998 to 2008 he worked as a cardiovascular surgeon in the Department of Vascular Surgery of the Stavropol Regional Hospital. In 2004, he became the head of the department of this institution.

2008

Since October 2008, Vladimir Kolesnikov led the regional clinical cardiological dispensary and was the main freelance cardiovascular surgeon of the Stavropol Territory, combined the main work with the position of a cardiovascular surgeon in the Stavropol Regional Clinical Hospital.

2020

In June 2020, Vladimir Kolesnikov was appointed the new Minister of Health of the Stavropol Territory.

2023: Appointment as Head of the Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery in Astrakhan

In November 2023, Vladimir Kolesnikov was appointed the new head of the Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery in Astrakhan. The previous head of the institution, Dmitry Tarasov, left this post in April 2022. Since then, the acting head has been Igor Chernov, deputy chief physician for surgical care.

Vladimir Kolesnikov in September 2023 left the post of Minister of Health of Stavropol of his own free will. Yuri Litvinov was appointed in his place.

The Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery in Astrakhan, which Kolesnikov began to lead, annually provides high-tech care to more than 5 thousand patients. The medical institution employs 26 candidates of medical sciences, two doctors of medical sciences, as well as doctors with the highest qualification category. The center includes departments of transfusiology, anesthesiology and resuscitation, radiation diagnostics.[1]

He was awarded the badge "Excellence in Health Care," diplomas of the Governor of the Stavropol Territory, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation.
