2023: PET recycling plant launched

On November 9, 2023, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region spoke about the launch of a plant in the region for the processing of PET materials, which will later be used for the production of bottles and food packaging. We are talking about the project of the company "Yusivai Polymer Rus," 1.2 billion rubles were invested in it.

The project will be implemented on two land plots in the cities of Ozera and Kolomna. The company's assistance in selecting plots for the implementation of the investment project was provided by the Moscow Region Development Corporation (KRMO). As part of the first stage in the city of Lakes, the company will launch sorting and washing lines. As part of the second - extrusion line for the production of rPET pellets in Kolomna. After the launch of both phases of the plant in the Moscow region, more than 100 new jobs will be created.

"Yusivai Polymer Rus" launches a plant for the processing of PET materials

According to the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region Ekaterina Zinovieva, by November 9, 2023, production equipment had been installed at the Yusivai Polymer Rus plant and commissioning was underway. The facility is expected to reach its design capacity early in the second quarter of 2024.

Dmitry Kozyrev, General Director of Yusivai Polymer Rus, says that immediately after the launch of the production line, we will be able to process about 500 tons of PET materials (mainly bottles and plastic) per month, then this volume will increase to 2 thousand tons per month. The raw materials obtained after processing - rPET flexes and granules will subsequently be used again for the production of bottles and food packaging.

Our task is to try to make the raw materials as clean as possible, - said Kozyrev, adding that the raw materials received will comply with all eco-standards.[1]
