2023: Product Announcement

On October 30, 2023, Israeli startup Inspira Technologies introduced a new development - the artificial lung INSPIRA ART500. The development received a patent in the United States.

INSPIRA ART500 is a small box that serves as an artificial lung. She takes a small amount of blood from the patient with low oxygen levels, drives it through her system, enriching it with oxygen and removing carbon dioxide, and returns it back to the body through a tube passing through the patient's neck.

The development was created in order to reduce the demand for mechanical ventilation devices. According to the company, such devices have a mortality rate of 50%, increase the risk of coma and lead to bacterial infections.

Inspira Technologies is already accepting applications from patients in Europe and several other regions. The market size of patients using mechanical ventilation systems is about 20 million people.
