The Kalininsky District Court sent Ruslan Dronov, general director of NordVestStroy LLC, accused of especially large embezzlement of budget funds, under arrest. The joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg announced this case on November 13, 2023.

Within the framework of them, conditions were set for the transfer of advances for expensive high-tech medical equipment in the amount of more than 11 and 18 million. rubles Dronov obtained the transfer of advance payments under contracts in the total amount of more than 15 million rubles, which he ordered at his discretion, the investigation believes.
We are talking about state contracts for the supply of a laser for selective trabeculoplasty worth about 11.2 million rubles and a retinal optical coherence tomography system worth 18.5 million rubles. The companies paid an advance of 15.2 million rubles to start the execution of the contract - the purchase was paid for at the expense of the national project "Healthcare."
Dronov is charged with fraud on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The suspect pleaded guilty in full. He will be in jail until at least January 8, 2024. If convicted, the businessman faces up to 10 years in prison.
According to the SPARK-Interfax system, NordVestStroy LLC was registered in St. Petersburg in 2008. In 2022, the company, in addition to the Helmholtz National Medical Research Center, entered into contracts with the Moscow Department of Health for the supply of medical products, with the FMBA of Russia for the supply of cars, and also repaired the building of the dental clinic No. 30 in St. Petersburg[1].
