2023: Using the Nurse's Mobile Workplace

Since 2023, the RKB of Tatarstan has been using a mobile workplace for a nurse. It is a trolley equipped with a computer with a built-in keyboard and monitor with access to the MIS qMS. Also in the trolley there is a bar scanner, a bar printer, a place for tablets and test tubes. MIS qMS allows you to ensure the entire cycle of work, insures nurses against errors and thereby helps to increase the safety of medical care. This was announced by SP.ARM on November 29, 2023.

The process is constructed as follows. When completing the tablets with medicines, the nurse opens the patient's card in qMS, scans his tablet and each drug. The MIS confirms that the selected drug package is correct. Before giving the tablets to the patient, the nurse scans a special barcode on the bracelet on his hand and re-reads the barcode on the tablet itself. A two-stage check can reduce to zero the probability of any error associated with patient identification during drug prescriptions and biomaterial collection - in case of confusion, the IIA will issue a warning.

All manipulations and indicators of the patient online are reflected in the medical information system. The post nurse can record in the IIA the actual timing of appointments for monitoring. And doctors can monitor the quality and timeliness of appointments, adjust therapy if necessary, monitor its effectiveness.

A fairly large number of errors in the practice of medical institutions are associated with the prescription of medicines and the collection of biomaterial in the patient. Identification using bar coding allows you to exclude them. The safety of medical care increases significantly, since it is impossible to confuse patients, tablets, test tubes, medicines and their dosage. In addition, mobile complexes with MIS qMS create a new quality of the workplace of nurses.
