The Apple company announced in November, 2010 intention to stop sale of the rack Xserve servers since February 1, 2011. It will be possible to execute the last order till January 31 inclusive.

As for the existing owners of Xserve, the company will continue to give them technical support. On all servers ordered till January 31 inclusive the guarantee of 1 year will be provided.
Last time the line of Xserve was updated in April, 2009. Now models with one 4-core Intel Xeon processor worth from $2999 and with two processors worth from $3599 are available to buyers.
