X5 Group has completed the introduction of domestic software for intelligent data search. The product is used to solve the tasks of the Kh5 Group Economic Security Department, which analyzes unstructured data during financial investigations. This was announced on December 4, 2023 by Content AI (AI Content).

Since 2022, due to the lack of the ability to use similar software from a Western vendor, the employees of the division were forced to return to manual analysis of information, which had a negative impact on the speed and quality of work, and also contributed to a significant increase in labor costs.

After researching various options for solving the problem, Kh5 Group settled on the Content AI Intelligent Search product.

Content AI Intelligent Search allows you to configure intelligent search across all digital data sources in your organization. With the help of the built-in OCR module, the system supports searching not to files only in text, but also in graphic formats -, pdf tiff, jpg and others. Technologies NLP provide a search for meaning, taking into account the context of the concepts requested, and not just by exact match.

Based on the specifics of the tasks of the Kh5 Group, the product was additionally refined in terms of searching by mail archives with the processing of emails in pst, eml and msg formats. As a result, the system performs a complete indexation of all elements of pst archives, which is up to one hundred thousand letters daily. The functionality of filtering information was also expanded and the UI was improved for a more familiar view to the end user.

Due to the distributed structure of the division, an important factor was the ability of Content AI Intelligent Search to distinguish user access to found documents and data, ensuring the confidentiality of the cases under investigation.

X5 Group said that the implementation of the Content AI Intelligent Search solution made it possible to optimize the process of searching and analyzing unstructured data, increasing the convenience of users, the speed of finding the required information and the accuracy of results. On average, according to the users themselves, the processing speed of one evidence file has increased by more than 10 times.

By using this product, the Department of Economic Security was able to reduce the timing of inspections, increase the coverage of activities, and increase the efficiency of work. Thanks to the licensing scheme used, we were able to scale the product without increasing costs - if earlier we had support for 10 simultaneous sessions, now their number is not limited by anything. As a result, we have a tool with which we successfully perform our function. After all, the high speed and better quality of data analysis allow us to more effectively identify and prevent abuses, financial and reputational damage, as well as contribute to improving the company's business processes, - said Gleb Kataev, Head of the Digital Solutions Department of the Economic Security Department of X5 Group.
