2024: Start of production
In July 2024, the production of the first domestic hybrid cars began in Russia. Evolute has launched a serial production of the i-Space hybrid crossover at a plant near Lipetsk.
According to the managing partner of the manufacturing company Andrei Reznikov, the first copies of i-Space have already passed certification and received approval of the type of vehicle, which confirms the compliance of cars and the process of their production with the requirements of Russian certification bodies.
The new i-Space hybrid crossover is positioned as a family car, designed for seven landing seats. The model's name reflects its concept: "Space" means not only "space" in English, but also "space," which emphasizes the capacity of the cabin. Additionally, the i-Space features state-of-the-art technology and comfortable interiors, making it an ideal choice for large families and long trips.
Evolute plans to sell several thousand i-Space units by the end of 2024, noting significant demand for cars with a hybrid power plant in Russia. The starting price for the new product will be 2.9 million rubles, which makes it the most affordable family hybrid crossover on the Russian market. Also, the company offers favorable lending conditions and special offers for first-time buyers.
This is the most affordable hybrid to date, both in terms of purchase price, cost of ownership, and with maximum mileage, - said Andrey Reznikov. |
According to him, similar models in the hybrid segment cost almost 2 million rubles more, which makes i-Space a very competitive offer.
