Under the terms of the contract, Murom Radio, produced tablets with classified characteristics and supplied them to the FSB through its official dealer, Radio Navigator. The price of the devices was set based on the fact that they are the "latest domestic development." The technical examination appointed by the investigation showed that the tablets were assembled from components purchased in China, packed in cases with the Murom radio logo.

In the fall of 2023, Kaftanov and a military representative of the FSB were arrested. At the same time, two more defendants appeared in the case - the general director of the Murom radio device Svyatoslav Denisov and the representative of the product dealer of the enterprise Radio-Navigator LLC. Both pleaded guilty and testified against other alleged participants in the theft, so they remain at large.

Based on these testimonies, investigative actions were launched against the beneficiaries of the Murom Radio Maxim Nechaev and Alexei Kovalchuk, who in the TFR are considered the organizers of the theft and the main beneficiaries of the alleged scam.^[1]
