On December 14, 2023, South Korean cellular operator SK Telecom announced the launch of the A. Call Translator service, which provides real-time translation of telephone conversations into different languages. The system is based on artificial intelligence algorithms.

To use the service, you need to download and install the accompanying mobile application. During operation, the system first converts the caller's voice into text, sends it to the server for translation, and then returns the translated text for conversion back into speech. AI algorithms help improve the efficiency and accuracy of this process. SK Telecom expects the service to be useful to foreigners living in Korea, as well as tourists and travelers.

SK Telecom announced the launch of the A. Call Translator service, which provides real-time translation of telephone conversations into different languages.

To activate the translation service, just click on the corresponding button at the bottom of the dialing panel on the smartphone. At the time of the announcement of A. Call Translator, four languages ​ ​ are supported: Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. As of mid-December 2023, the launch of A. Call Translator is possible only on smartphones.
