2023: Allocation of 800 million rubles for the construction of a new building

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order to allocate 800 million rubles to continue the construction of a new building of the republican infectious diseases hospital in Syktyvkar. The corresponding document was published in mid-December 2023.

It is specified that the allocated funds will be provided to the institution by the end of 2023. The total area of ​ ​ the new building will be 21.8 thousand square meters. m, it is designed for 100 places. As noted in the government, the implementation of this project will allow to dilute the flows of patients and prevent cross-infection. The launch of the new building of the infectious diseases hospital will increase the availability and quality of medical care provided to patients.

It is planned to complete the construction and put a new medical institution into operation in 2025. For these purposes, 474 million rubles have already been raised from the federal budget.

According to the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, at 2019 prices, the object cost 1.5 billion rubles, but due to rising prices for building materials, the amount increased to 2.5 billion rubles. According to the first deputy chairman of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Elmira Akhmeeva, as of December 12, 2023, the construction readiness of the facility was 25%.

2020-2022

The construction of the building for the infectious diseases hospital in Syktyvkar began in September 2020. Already in October of the same year, work was suspended due to customer comments on the development of the pit. Work at the facility resumed in February 2021, but due to the rise in price of building materials, work was again suspended. In April 2022, it was announced that construction would be temporarily mothballed.
