Results of Infotrans-2010

For years of carrying out the conference became an important communication platform for the Russian and foreign specialists railway and allied industries, however this year the action significantly differed from previous. Organizers tried to combine theoretical aspects with practical and latest developments of the industry, to make more saturated the program. More than 600 delegates representing 235 companies from 11 countries of the world participated in an action.

Use at a conference of a system of business acquaintances Omyconf which considerably expanded possibilities of obtaining information and became the new means of communication between delegates of an action became an interesting innovation.

As the general IT partner of a conference one of the largest domestic system integrators - Technoserv company acted. As the strategic partner of an action the Digital Design company - one of the leading IT integrators of Russia acted.

Among sponsors of an action there were leading players of the IT market, including Hitachi Data Systems, IBM, Transtelecom company, Microtest, Huawei Technologies, Nienschanz, Pulsar Telecom, ZTE, Nokia Siemens Networks, CIT the Trance, VMware.

Yakunin Vladimir, the president of JSC Russian Railways, made a welcome address: "First of all, it would be desirable to congratulate partners, participants, guests and organizers of a conference on an anniversary fifteenth action. It is sure that holding an anniversary conference will become the reliable practical instrument of coordination of efforts of all participants of the transport market on the way to effective development of the industry".

Participants discussed a role of information technologies in upgrades of Russia, priority problems of informatization of a state administration, strategic directions of development of information systems of JSC Russian Railways and also legislative ensuring implementation of IT on transport at a plenary session.

In the report within the plenary session Illarionov Alexey, the head of the department of informatization and corporate management processes of JSC Russian Railways, told: "We already have technologies which allow to pass from paper documents to electronic, but for further implementation of electronic document management there is yet not enough legislative and regulatory base. Integration and consolidation of architecture of the management information systems is at the moment carried already out, processes of management of IT services based on ITIL are implemented, the complete accounting of works allowing to control cost value of IT services is provided".

On the ground and second floor "Holliday of the TIN - the Moscow Gate" the exhibition of industry achievements "Infotrans-2010" at which the exposures presented Hitachi Data Systems, Cisco, APC, TBEMA, Bentley Systems, MIIT, Pulsar-Telecom, Space technologies, Digital Design, Technoserv, Transtelecom, SAS, OCVR, OLLY and JSC "Russian Railways" was placed.

Participants of the general meeting which took place within the second day of work of the Infotrans of 2010 conference discussed the perspective directions of development of IT on railway transport and experience of the innovation projects on transport in other countries and also in allied industries. Among participants there are meetings: Sergey Dyachenko, the CEO of Market Visio/Gartner, Maxim Kazak, the Chief Editor of CNews, Nazzareno Filippini, the project manager National the railroads of Italy, Peter Stor, the sales director of department of corporate services NR TsVE, Vladimir Gabriel, the head of task force Microsoft in Russia and Yury Karadzhov, the director of business development, IBM.

The principles of creation of IT strategy of transport companies, advantages and risks of use of IT outsourcing, implementation of the innovative solutions to upgrade of infrastructure of communication services provision, telecommunication in technology processes of railway transport and ensuring interoperability of transportations, wireless technologies of communication on railway transport – all these subjects were discussed by conferees within two-day work on four parallel sections.

As Vishnyakov Valery reported in an interview of the Russian Railway-TV, the director of Major computer center – branch of JSC "Russian Railways", "Infotrans-2010" is important for information technology development on railway transport and once again it emphasizes presence of the president of JSC "Russian Railways" V.I. Yakunin. When fifteen years ago the first action took place, participants only discussed possibilities of creation of an information system. Already the end-to-end system of management of the maintenance of railway infrastructure, different mobile solutions for heads of an automated workplace – P, and also electronic technology document management is about application of perspective IT solutions in technology processes, such as system of the centralized processing of a route of the driver and payroll of locomotive crews.
