2023: Product Announcement

Scientists at the Ural Federal University (UrFU), together with Chinese developers, have created a program that can calculate the location of borrowers who miss or do not plan to return loan payments. This technology was reported at a Russian university in December 2023.

The developed software uses machine learning and cross-platform information search algorithms, allowing you to monitor several Internet sources at the same time. In addition, the service is able to analyze audio, video and text files. To search for borrower data, a banking employee needs to enter the name, place and date of his birth, mobile phone number, time of the last contact and address data into the program. Based on this information, the program will analyze many Internet platforms: from social networks and government applications to car rental services. The collected information is saved for use. As soon as the bank has suspicions about the client, the search engine calculates where this person can be physically and gives the result to the user.

As explained by Ibrahim Alnafra, a researcher at the School of Economics and Management, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics at UrFU, in the search process, the algorithm assesses the importance of a particular source of information for the borrower based on its user activity. For example, if a person often publishes comments on the Weibo platform, then the algorithm will tend to analyze the information of this particular platform in more detail, he said.

The debtor search program has already begun to be used in China in pilot mode. According to the developers, the PRC has been chosen to implement this project due to the widespread use of digital technologies in this country.[1]
