2023: Construction of a rehabilitation center

On December 20, 2023, it became known about the construction in the Krasnoyarsk Territory of a rehabilitation center for participants in a special military operation (SVO) of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. The medical institution will work on the basis of the Berezka sanatorium-dispensary, which will be transferred to the ownership of the region, said the deputy of the regional legislative assembly of the Ilya Zaytsev.

It is assumed that the medical and preventive institution will be designed for 230 places. Every year 3.4 thousand people will be able to undergo rehabilitation in the medical organization. The center will provide sanatorium-resort, medical, socio-psychological services. The dispensary will be able to restore health and rest not only participants in the SVO and their families, but also elderly people.

Sanatorium "Birch"

The decision to create a rehabilitation center was made at a meeting of the Health and Social Policy Committee in December 2023. 0.5 billion rubles of investments in the conversion of the sanatorium are planned.

Sanatorium-dispensary "Birch" is located 160 km from Krasnoyarsk on the shore of the lake. It is assumed that the rehabilitation center for participants in the SVO will work there in 2024.

Rehabilitation centers are being built in other regions. For example, in July 2023, the Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, announced the construction of a rehabilitation center with 150 beds for military personnel and war veterans, including the military-military complex. The regional authorities have already acquired a building, for the reconstruction of which it is planned to allocate 1 billion rubles. And in November 2023, it became known that a rehabilitation center for participants in the SVO for 3.7 billion rubles would be built in the Krasnodar Territory. The future medical facility will be designed for 500 beds.[1]
