2023: Ex-deputy head physician of the clinic received a real term for embezzlement of 4 million rubles
In Nyagan, the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug), the former deputy head physician of the city polyclinic No. 1 was sentenced to six years in a strict regime colony. This was reported in the press service of the district prosecutor's office on December 26, 2023.
The guilty verdict was passed against the former deputy chief physician for economic issues of the budget institution "Nyagan City Polyclinic No. 1." In addition to imprisonment, the punishment includes a fine of 300 thousand rubles. The name of the convict is not called, he did not admit his guilt.
According to the prosecutor's office of Nyagan, the doctor was found guilty of committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed using his official position on a large scale). According to the investigation, the defendant, whose name is not named, for three years (from 2017 to 2020) prepared fictitious contracts for the provision of services to a medical institution. He issued contracts for transport services, maintenance and cleaning of transport, for cleaning and removing snow. On the basis of these documents, the funds that the deputy head physician appropriated were transferred. As a result, the clinic suffered damage in the amount of more than 4 million rubles.
Having interrogated the defendant, the representative of the victim, witnesses, having examined the available evidence, the court gave them an appropriate assessment and taking into account the nature and degree of public danger of the crimes committed, the identity of the defendant, the presence of mitigating and the absence of aggravating circumstances, found the defendant guilty of eight crimes, provided for in Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for which he sentenced him to imprisonment for a period of 6 years with a fine of 300,000 rubles, with serving a sentence in a penal colony of general regime, - said the press service of the courts of Ugra.[1] |
