2023: Cloud Service Development
Scientists of NRU "MPEI" have developed a cloud service that allows you to automatically create electrical circuits of digital substations based on data from relay protection equipment. The university announced this on December 28, 2023.
The created diagrams are automatically displayed in the SCADA system, a software package in which power facilities are controlled. For correct automatic generation of sufficiently complex electrical circuits and circuits of local computer networks of digital substations, special algorithms of automatic settling and tracing of connections between technological equipment are used. Algorithms are based on graph theory and the method of geometric fractals.
Thanks to the application of the requirements of Russian regulatory and technical documentation in the work, this service contributes to the promotion of solutions for the technological management of electric power facilities, primarily on the basis of domestic SCADA systems, which has a positive effect on reducing the import dependence of the industry, "said Nikolai Rogalev, rector of MPEI. |
As a rule, when developing such schemes manually, the process was accompanied by regular refinements and frequent errors. The approach used in the development is based on the possibility of automatic processing of files containing all the necessary information about the electrical scheme of the power object and digital interactions between intelligent electronic devices.
The developed cloud service will allow building the process of creating and introducing special interactive screen forms in SCADA systems of various companies with minimal human participation, while ensuring uniformity and a high level of ergonomics of display and control functions.
The cloud service was developed by scientists from the NTI MPEI Center and the Department of Relay Protection and Automation of Power Systems of MPEI under the guidance of Candidate of Technical Sciences Andrei Lebedev.
