Prodkontrakt: integration of the INFOR SCM WM system into the voice solution Vocollect, 1C: Enterprise and weight equipment of Mettler Toledo company

November, 2010 - Infor announced an implementation project of the INFOR SCM WM system in a warehouse of Prodkontrakt Ltd company, the supplier of the frozen boneless beef from Brazil, successfully completed the project on.

The main criteria for Prodkontrakt company, in the course of search of a warehouse management system, were increase in efficiency of business processes and rational use of resources. In particular, the company was going to optimize process of placement, selection and storage of goods, to perform fixing of weight of products in a system at goods acceptance.

The choice of this system was caused by such high job requirements of a warehouse as:

• placement the 6000th pallet,
• involvement of the minimum number of warehouse personnel,
• use of a small amount of the handling equipment,
• providing a goods flow in 360 tons a day.

System implementation of INFOR SCM WM allowed to provide the accuracy of acceptance and shipment of products, a possibility of processing for 12 hour shift of the entering and outgoing peak trade flow and also to increase the speed of execution of operations.

System developers of INFOR SCM WM found interesting solutions on functional filling of the program which includes automatic fixation of weight at acceptance and shipment and also use of the innovative Vocollect voice technologies. They are designed to increase quality and speed of placement, selection of goods, its setting in the line of shipment. The choice of voice technologies was caused by temperature condition in a warehouse (-18 °C) and also need to increase employee productivity and to ensure its safety. The voice equipment Vocollect is completely integrated into all warehouse processes and successfully works together with the INFOR SCM WM system.

Full optimization of work of a warehouse was provided by integration of the INFOR SCM WM system with already available technical solutions of the company, such as:

• mobile dynamic racks in the storage area which allow to increase the useful area of storage more than by 100%.
• the gravitational racks allowing to keep a large number a pallet in a zone of acceptance and shipment.

High-quality system operation is ensured by its integration into the solution based on 1C: Enterprise, the weight equipment and fast-lifting gate.
