2024: Product Announcement

In early January 2024, MSI unveiled its first game console, a handheld device called the Claw A1M. The Windows 11 Home operating system and the Intel Core Ultra hardware platform coexist in this gadget.

The novelty has a traditional layout with a monoblock body. In the central part there is a touchscreen display on an IPS matrix with a diagonal of 7 inches, FHD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. To the left and right of the screen are the game controls - joysticks, a cross and additional buttons. The console is designed to take into account the natural contours of the hands, which increases the level of comfort and provides intuitive gameplay.

The maximum configuration includes a Core Ultra 7 155H processor with 16 cores. The amount of RAM LPDDR5-6400 reaches 16 GB. The PCIe M.2 solid state drive with a capacity of up to 1 TB is responsible for data storage. The equipment includes 2W stereo speakers, a microSD slot, a fingerprint scanner, a Thunderbolt 4 port and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Power is provided by a 53- Vt·ch battery pack, which will last for two hours of battery life at full load.

The console has a proprietary Mystic Light multi-color backlight and an effective Cooler Boost HyperFlow cooling system with large vents. Intel Killer BE Wi-Fi 7 + Bluetooth 5.4 controllers provide fast wireless communication. The MSI AI Engine automatically adjusts various parameters that best suit your current gaming needs. Dimensions are 294 × 117 × 21.2 mm, weight - 675 g. As of January 9, 2024, the cost of Claw A1M varies from $700 to $800.[1]
