2024: Suspended sentence for damage to a medical institution of 155 million rubles

At the end of December 2023, the Sestroretsky District Court of St. Petersburg found guilty the first deputy director of the Russian Scientific Center for Radiology and Surgical Technologies named after Academician A.M. Granov (RNCRHT) Andrei Klekotsky in the case of causing material damage to the institution in the amount of 155 million rubles. In addition, Deputy Director for Capital Construction Vladimir Kozhikin and employees of the controlling organization Omega Stroy LLC Oleg Ismagambetov, Mikhail Maseikov and Vitaly Starodedov were convicted.

According to the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg, Kozhikin was appointed 3.5 years conditionally with a probationary period of 3 years, Klekotsky - 4 years conditionally with a probationary period of 3 years. Both were also banned from holding positions in state medical institutions for 2.5 years. Ismagambetov and Maseikov received 2.5 years probation with a probationary period of 2 years, Starodedov - 3 years probation with a probationary period of 2 years.

According to investigators, in 2014, RNCRHT signed contracts with VERFAU Medical Engineering for the reconstruction of three buildings and a branch of the Center. First Deputy Director of the RNCRHT Andrei Klekotsky and Deputy Director for Capital Construction Vladimir Kozhikin, together with Omega Stroy employees Oleg Ismagambetov, Mikhail Maseikov and Vitaly Starodedov, who performed the functions of construction control, actually accepted the outstanding work for 155 million 108 thousand rubles. Initially, investigators estimated the damage from the outstanding work at 156.7 million rubles. The defendants pleaded not guilty.

The Russian Scientific Center for Radiology and Surgical Technologies named after Academician A. M. Granov is the world's first research X-ray radiology clinic. Radiopharmaceuticals are produced there for the diagnosis of cancer.[1]
