2024: Agreement on the launch of the "Resident Card"

Sberbank, Settlement Solutions and the Government of Kalmykia are launching a Resident Card in southern Russia. This was reported on January 11, 2024 by "Settlement Solutions."

The corresponding agreement was signed by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Republic of Kalmykia and JSC "SETTLEMENT SOLUTIONS" with the support of the Kalmyk branch of Sberbank.

With the help of the information system "Resident Card" it will be possible to use a bank card as a preferential pass in public transport, and students will be able to go through turnstiles and pay for meals in schools. In the future, the "Resident Card" will allow schoolchildren, students, pensioners, large families and young families to gain access to a set of preferential regional services.

In 2024, we are launching a large project "Resident Card." This is an electronic profile of a registered citizen containing information about state, municipal and socially significant services available to him in the region. Within the framework of the "Resident Map" project, we focus on the development of digital solutions aimed at improving the quality of life, comfort and safety of our citizens. Residents will receive a convenient multifunctional tool, it will become easier to receive the necessary social services. The "Resident Map" project is another step towards digitalization. It will be a useful and convenient tool for citizens of our region, said Alexey Eteev, Minister of Digital Development of the Republic of Kalmykia.

To gain access to these services and benefits, you will not need to purchase a special card or present a certificate of a beneficiary - it is enough to register a bank card "Mir" of any bank on the portal "Card of a resident of the Republic of Kalmykia," as well as in branches of partner banks.

The implementation of the "Resident Map" project is an important step in the process of digital transformation of the region and the basis for creating a single base of state and municipal services. Connecting the payment and identification infrastructure of the region to the information system "Resident Card" will improve the quality of providing benefits to residents of Kalmykia and ensure their addressability, noted Erdni Lidzhiev, manager of the Kalmyk branch of Sberbank.

The "Resident Card" project will be implemented on the basis of software developed by the "Settlement Solutions" company: the system itself determines the available support measures and helps to use them automatically.
