2023: Automation of Production Metering with TALARIX MES Software Product

To automate the process of production logistics, the management of MMK LLC decided to improve the operation of the enterprise using the industry solution TALARIX MES.

As part of the project, the following tasks were completed:

  • Detailed examination of as-is production logistics processes was carried out, consulting on their improvement and digitalization was carried out.
  • A conceptual design "as to be" of the future MES enterprise system based on TALARIX the MES solution for the entire production cycle of LLC "" has been developed MMK- from the purchase of raw materials to the transfer to the warehouse of finished products.
  • TALARIX MES has been implemented in the Meat and Spice Cooler and Spice Area. In these areas, the standard system was adapted to the needs and features of MMK LLC, field users were trained and the system was put into commercial operation with the help of TALARIX specialists.

As a result of the project at the sections "Refrigerator of meat raw materials" and "Spice," the company got the opportunity to:

  • Track the schedule of meat raw materials deliveries online.
  • Automatically accept meat raw materials and spices using a data acquisition terminal/scanner. barcodes
  • Monitor the operation of the spice picker. Now the picker cannot pick up the wrong amount of ingredients according to the recipe, sprinkle or lack sleep on the spice.
  • Ensure traceability of each corrugated box/unit by batch and shelf life.
  • Provide traceability of a set of spices (sets are marked with an individual barcode), thereby further preventing the error of adding spices you incorrect sausage.
  • Digitize recipes for sausage production in the MES system, adding technological specifics to them: tolerances for the selection of ingredients, the type of scales on which spices are collected, etc.
  • Reduce inventory time for inventory balances - now inventory is carried out using the online data collection terminal.
  • Ensure control of the FEFO principle, thereby reducing the delay of meat raw materials and spices in the warehouse.
  • Reduce the time for removing meat and spices from the warehouse - targeted storage of raw materials by cells has been introduced at the site.
  • Reduce the time to keep records of meat and spices in the ERP system - now data from the MES system is automatically uploaded to the ERP loop.
  • Analyze the residues and movements of meat raw materials and spices in various cuts, thereby getting answers to the questions: how much meat and spices are really in the warehouse, who is the supplier and what shelf life, how full the warehouse is at the moment, in what cells I can find what I need.

Based on the results of the project, all the goals were achieved. The company plans to implement the system in further production areas.
