2023: Completion of the implementation of an automatic control and control system for the production of PIFI in the forge and press building of the Blacksmith Plant
PJSC KamAZ has completed the introduction of an automatic control and control system for the production of PIFI in the forge and press building of the Forge Plant in Naberezhnye Chelny. A comprehensive MES IT solution is developed and implemented by KAMAZ Digital. The main task of the system is to increase the transparency and controllability of the production process. KamAZ announced this on January 15, 2024.
The PPI production planning and management system is a software and hardware complex for monitoring the state of the workshop, online control of production operations, ensuring the rhythm of production and prompt response to changes and unforeseen circumstances.
The PFI's mission is to ensure full transparency of the productive process for all its participants and plant management.
The functionality of the system includes the formation and distribution of a shift-daily task online and tracking the progress of production (in a mode close to real time). In addition, the system provides information on production progress and work in process.
The pilot implementation of the system at the forging plant of KAMAZ PJSC began in November 2022. The test results were positive and in February 2023 it was decided to scale the PPI throughout the blacksmith cycle.
As part of the production cycle, the system is used by planning and dispatching services, workshop masters, shop managers and working personnel. A simple PPI web interface for all employees is available to tablets, I/O terminals (kiosks) and desktop computers.
For the plant manager, a dashboard mode is provided, which can be displayed on the TV screen to quickly track the state of production.
The PIFI system has already been implemented in our forge and press building and has shown the first positive results. The system is used in short-term planning at the stages of forming a shift-daily task and in monitoring the progress of the production process. MES systems are in great demand in complex industrial production, since with system long-term use, they reduce equipment and personnel downtime, scrap volume and repeatedly reduce paper flow, which significantly saves employee time at all levels.
