2024: Product Announcement

In early January 2024, GyroGear announced GyroGlove smart gloves designed specifically for people with tremor and Parkinson's disease. The device allows you to stabilize your hands, which helps you write, take cups of drinks and perform other actions, such as fastening buttons.

According to the developers, the new product uses "advanced gyroscopic technology." The system consists of three key components - a fabric glove, a stabilization module with a gyroscope and a battery pack, which is located in the forearm area. All these elements are designed to provide the maximum level of comfort for people with tremors. For example, large control buttons minimize the likelihood of wrong actions.

According to GyroGear, the gloved gyroscope rotates at a speed that is more than four times the speed of a jet turbine. This effectively compensates for unintended arm shaking. The claimed battery life reaches 4 hours in intensive mode. In general, GyroGlove weighs about 580 grams, while stabilization and power modules weigh 200 grams each.

The glove is made of high quality breathable fabric. Electronic components are protected from moisture and dust in accordance with the IP65 standard. There is an indicator showing the current battery level. As of the beginning of January 2024, the cost of GyroGlove is approximately $5,900. The product is registered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Australian Therapeutic Products Administration (TGA) as a medical device. GyroGear is in talks with insurance companies in the United States to cover the cost of gloves for patients.[1]
