VTB Bank was one of the first to launch a pilot for the use of acquiring equipment in retail chains - PAX D320 POS terminals, which allow you to accept payment through the Fast Payment System using NFC. The Bank plans to install terminals of this model for current and new customers. The bank announced this on January 18, 2024.

The method of payment through the SBP using the cash payment link is available for any smartphones on iOS and Android that support NFC. The buyer just needs to bring the mobile device to the terminal and then confirm the payment with one touch of the screen or using biometrics.

PAX D230 is one of the terminals with a connection to 4G and Wi-Fi, it can also be used as a stationary one with wired Internet. The terminal is equipped with a special antenna for contactless transfer of payment link data.

This time, we are introducing at our POS terminals the ability to receive payments via SBP via NFC and have already begun installing terminals of this type in the retail outlets of our clients and then we plan to replace outdated devices with them as needed, "said Alexander Botsiev, Head of Transactional Business Department - Senior Vice President of VTB Bank.
