In JSC "Russian Railways" corporate demand for transition from security management to risk management actively forms. For the first time at the level of board of JSC "Russian Railways" this task is approved as one of the most important. The Department of traffic safety is responsible for the operational risks connected with any incidents (a descent about a rail, defects, breakdown and so forth) in JSC "Russian Railways". The SAS Russia/CIS company supports this direction and proposes some solutions which this year will be able already to yield specific results. In 2011 in JSC "Russian Railways" deployment of the Situational Center for traffic safety which prototype is provided and approved by NTS and Board of JSC "Russian Railways" is planned. Based on products of SAS creation of the analytical block meaning operational risk management of JSC "Russian Railways", the analysis of factors of influence on implementation of risks, the extent of damage, etc. is supposed. First of all, creation of data domain of the Traffic safety corporate information storage (CIS) which should become an information resource of the Center is supposed. These works are already begun, and at the Infotrans-2010 conference the first results – working panels (dashboards) based on the KAC AHT and ASRB systems were shown.

Approaches to assessment and management of the market (financial) risks connected with interest rates (by the credits, other financial instruments), were determined by the prices of materials, fuel and the electric power. For the solution of this task the SAS company proposes solutions on modeling of risks, data integration from external sources (rating agencies and so forth) and to stress testing.

Idea of strategic risks in JSC "Russian Railways" only forms. They include those operational and financial risks which have global character. For management of strategic risks of SAS offers the specialized SAS platform and the experience of risk management in non-financial organizations.
