2024: Plastic JSC bought Finndisp from Dow Europe Holding

On January 19, 2024, it became known that Plastic JSC and Sergey Bendenko, registered in the Tula Region, bought its Russian structure Finndisp LLC (Ramenskoye, Moscow Region) from the Dutch company Dow Europe Holding. There is no information on the value of the asset as of that date.

On December 21, 2023, the president Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which Dow Europe Holding can sell 100% of Finndisp, a company specializing in the production of polymer dispersions. According to Interfax"," under the terms of the concluded agreement, Plastic JSC receives 49% in Finndisp LLC, while Bendenko's share is 51%. In addition, Bendenko was appointed general director of this structure. He also heads Finndisp Uzlovaya LLC, which is engaged in the production of paints and varnishes based on polymers.

It is noted that the purchased enterprise was idle for a year and a half (by the beginning of 2024), but replacement or modernization of the equipment located on the site is not required. The plant will resume operation in the first quarter of 2024.

It is expected that the experience of Finndisp will be used in the creation of a new production of styrene-acrylic dispersions of basic and special grades. We are talking about lines with a capacity of 60 thousand tons at the site of the Finndisp Uzlovaya enterprise in the Tula region. It is planned to organize the release of new products in the first quarter of 2025.[1]
