2018

In 2018, the court, by application MFBanka DIA as a bankruptcy trustee, recognized Alexander Usoltsev as insolvent (bankrupt) and opened a procedure for the sale of property against him.

2024: Recovery of losses of the Moscow Bank for a total amount of 2.2 billion rubles

From the ex-leaders of the Moscow MFBank - Chairman of the Board Alexander Usoltsev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board Yevgeny Usoltsev and Board Member Olga Yanvareva - recovered 2.2 billion rubles in the case of issuing deliberately bad loans. The press service of the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) announced this on January 25, 2024.

In October 2020, the DIA appealed to the City Arbitration Court Moscow (ASGM) with a demand to recover losses caused by various actions:

  • provision of knowingly bad loans - damage of 2.2 billion rubles;
  • illegal issuance of money from the bank's cash desk - 75.5 million rubles;
  • acquisition of real estate at an inflated price - 52 million rubles;
  • crediting funds to the account of the Moscow Recollector No. 1 - 30 million rubles;
  • repayment of the debt of the chairman of the board with the funds of the bank - 80 million rubles;
  • issuance of a Niva G loan - 25 million rubles.

2.2 billion rubles were collected from the ex-leaders of the Moscow Fund of Finance

Three courts recovered losses from Usoltsev and Yanvareva, and in January 2024, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation supported this recovery. The day after the publication of the refusal definition of the economy board of the ASGM, at the request of the DIA, recognized the claims against Usoltsev in the amount of 2.2 billion rubles. and included them in the register of claims of the bank's creditors, the agency said.

The Central Bank of the Russian Federation revoked the license from the Moscow Bank in 2017 "due to the extremely low quality of assets and the presence of increased risks." On December 29 of the same year, the Moscow Arbitration Court declared the bank bankrupt and approved the bankruptcy trustee of the DIA.[1]
