2024: Establishing a Company

On January 22, 2024, it became known that Mikhail Shelkov, the main beneficiary of the Russian industrial corporation VSMPO-Avisma, established Medical Titan LLC (Medti) in Moscow. She will be engaged in the production of medical devices using titanium.

The new enterprise was created through the Industrial Investments company, controlled by Shelkov. Medti's authorized capital is 1 million rubles. The company is registered in the settlement "Moskovsky" in the south-west of the capital. The general director is Sergei Kosenko (previously he did not head the company and was not the founder). The main activity is the production of medical instruments and equipment. In addition, seven additional activities are declared.

Details about the work of Medti as of the end of January 2024 are missing. According to available information, Shelkov will invest in the production of medical devices. He holds the position of deputy chairman of the board of directors of VSMPO-Avisma, specializing in the production of other non-ferrous metals. This corporation supplies products to the markets of 50 countries and is deeply integrated into the global aerospace industry.

At the same time, the shareholders of VSMPO-Avisma previously implemented projects in the field of the medical industry. Thus, one of the former shareholders of the corporation, Vladislav Tetyukhin, invested 3.3 billion rubles in the creation of the Ural Clinical Medical and Rehabilitation Center (UKLRC). And among the assets of Shelkov himself until February 2023 was the Kaluga factory of pharmaceutical substances "Bion," which was subsequently acquired by the Protek group. VSMPO-Avisma, as noted, acted as a supplier of raw materials for the production of titanium implants for traumatology and orthopedics. The corporation has a full technological cycle: from processing raw materials to the production of finished products with a high degree of mechanical processing.[1]
