Rostelecom switched to Russian software for working with PDF documents

Rostelecom completed the introduction of a Russian product for viewing and editing PDF documents, which replaced foreign software (software). The company announced this on February 1, 2024. More than 5,500 employees of the company began to use the multifunctional ContentReader PDF editor of the Russian developer Content AI. The transition to the solutions of domestic manufacturers in the internal business processes of Rostelecom allows you to reduce the company's dependence on imports and support the import substitution strategy.

Our goal was a centralized transition from foreign PDF editing software to a domestic solution without losing functionality. We were looking for a product to optimize the business processes associated with processing PDF documents, as well as mass digitization of images for the preparation of reporting documentation in all linear processes of the company. The integration of the new product has been implemented in stages and without suspending work processes, - said Andrei Potapov, head of the Rostelecom import substitution competence center.

An important requirement for the product on the part of Rostelecom was the possibility of its use in various Russian operating systems (OS). And we pay great attention to checking the compatibility of our solutions with domestic OS, - said Svetlana Dergacheva, CEO of Content AI .
