2024: Construction of four electric charging stations
The Russian operator EZS Sitronics Electro, part of the Sitronics Group, built four charging stations as part of a federal subsidy to ensure the launch of innovative public transport by electric traction. Sitronics announced this on February 1, 2024.
In Volgodonsk, electric bus traffic was launched on two routes at once, connecting the old and new parts of the city with the village of Gateways. Innovative electric transport was purchased under the modernization program of the transport complex of the Rostov region as part of the national project "Safe and High-Quality Roads." According to the same program, an electric charging infrastructure was built in the city, thanks to which electric buses can quickly charge up to 80% in just half an hour, constantly maintaining the optimal battery charge.
Two single-dome charging stations of the "urban" type were installed in the village of Gateways and at a stop near the VZMEO enterprise. This arrangement of stations will ensure the movement of electric buses on a long route. Two more charging stations of the "park" version - with six domes each - were installed on the territory of the trolleybus fleet. This type of station allows you to simultaneously charge six units of transport due to the uniform distribution of power between them. In order to start the charging process, the driver just needs to connect with a pantograph to the dome without leaving the cab.
This is not the first project implemented in the Rostov region. Earlier, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the government of the region, electric buses entered the routes in Rostov-on-Don - for this we installed and commissioned five ultra-fast stations. Next in line is the launch of electric bus traffic in Taganrog. In total, thanks to federal programs that stimulate the development of electric transport, in 2023 alone, the electric charging stations of our operator Sitronics Electro appeared in nine cities. The plans are to expand the geography of its presence, not only by providing infrastructure for electric bus parks, but also by installing charging stations for electric vehicles under its own brand, "said Armen Safaryan, Advisor to the President of Sitronics Group. |
