ABBYY and Basware announced the joint solution for automation of processing of primary accounting documents

As noted, implementation of this solution will allow the staff of finance divisions to automate up to 60-70% of the following labor-intensive transactions: data entry from finance documents; verification of details of the partner; search of the order in the accounting system on direct and indirect signs; comparison of the range of the delivered goods or services; validation of charge of the VAT and also all other available digits in the primary document; delivery of operations on business divisions and cost centers.

According to developers, the software package of ABBYY and Basware facilitates the translation of incoming documents in an electronic form and their subsequent identification. The advanced technology on extraction of significant information from the scanned images of documents regardless of their structure based on the AbbyyFlexiCapture system is involved in the solution. Documents of all types are identified and processed automatically: the user has no need to manually sort pages that reduces influence of a human factor on processing and reduces an error probability. In this case manual work on keyboard set is reduced more than twice.

Comparison of primary accounting documents to data in the accounting system (orders, agreements, payment schedules) happens in the automatic mode. For process optimization of processing of accounts the special tool of implementation of business rules can be also used.

After placement of data in a system documents are automatically coded and sent to the relevant employee for consideration and a statement. If necessary at each validation phase users receive the email notification with the corresponding link. Work with documents is carried out via the web interface which is not requiring installation and convenient for remote access, – document approval can be made 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

For convenience of integration with an external accounting or managerial system of the company the software package includes standard integration templates for more than 250 ERP systems (SAP, Oracle EBS, iScala, 1C, Parus and others) that increases efficiency of input of the solution in operation (in 1.5-2 months after contract signature). According to developers, the payback period of the solution makes less than 9 months.
