Due to the active development of the northern territories and the Northern Sea Route, the volume of work in the port of Dudinka and the need for qualified personnel have increased. Therefore, in 2023, at the initiative of the Polar Transport Branch of Norilsk Nickel, a new training program was introduced at Taimyr College and in September 2023 the first group of students had already begun training in the specialty "Crane Driver." And in early February, thanks to the financing of the FTF, they equipped a gym with three virtual simulators created by Intechcom in cooperation with a permanent technological partner, Virsine.

Each VR simulator helps to master the control of a separate model - the Kirovets portal crane, the richstacker (container loader) and the Liebherr LHM mobile port crane. Hyperrealistic picture, 3600 review, a seat similar to the operator's, all the necessary controls, that is, buttons, joysticks and steering wheel - simulators provide an immersion effect and replace practice on dangerous and expensive machines. Moreover, college students under 18 simply cannot be allowed to work at such port facilities according to security rules. However, such students will undergo a full-fledged production practice on simulators and during this time will develop real skills that apply in life.

We even modeled exactly the weather conditions that the crane operator in Dudinka has to face. Thus, students will be well prepared for real work.
