Rostec reported on the production of fully domestic engines for drones

According to him, the company's competencies allow creating electric motors not only for drones, but also for servo drives. The production of new products will contribute to ensuring the technological sovereignty and import independence of the Russian Federation, added Luchnikov, whose words were quoted by Rostec.

The state corporation also noted that the production of collector-free, synchronous and stepper electric motors, as well as generators, will become a new direction of production based on the capacity and specific competencies of the plant. Rostec named one of the differences between U-UPO electric motors and foreign analogues - less weight with higher efficiency, which allows you to install more additional attachments on the drone. Design features also contribute to the durability of the engines, emphasized in Rostec.

U-UPO works in cooperation with Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU). Thanks to such cooperation, a design bureau for electric motors was opened.[1]
