The Stroygazconsulting company started the project on implementing solution of management of construction business on the basis of the system of SAP, expecting to transfer within several years to the new ERP platform all the enterprises. Earlier in the company the ERP system based on 1C was used.

Stroygazconsulting, engaged in arrangement of fields and construction of pipelines for Gazprom, Transneft, Lukoil and other largest oil and gas companies, made the decision to replace the corporate ERP platform. In Stroygazconsulting the project on transition to industry solution of SAP ERP which will be performed by LANIT company starts.

As representatives of Stroygazconsulting specified TAdviser, until now in the company ERP worked at the 1C Platform 7. Meanwhile, in 2008, according to given the official site of 1C Company, the franchisee of 1C:VDGB implemented in Stroygazconsulting the project on implementation of the systems "1C: Accounting 8" and "1C: Archive 3.0", all 300 licenses were delivered. And in May, 2010 the same 1C:VDGB installed in the company the 1C: Motor Vehicle Management 8 system (the truth, only on 5 jobs). Whether this system will be saved further, in Stroygazconsulting do not specify.

The reasons for which Stroygazconsulting decided to pass from 1C to SAP also stay behind scenes. However, about some of them it is possible to judge by the official statement of the company about start of the SAP project. So, in it it is said that management of construction projects of the company is extremely complex: only estimates can reach 12 thousand positions, dozens of suppliers, subcontractors and other partners participate in projects.

Therefore the main task of a new ERP system – to increase effective management of projects. It is possible to assume that old 1C system coped with this task insufficiently effectively. According to the chairman of the board of the project on SAP implementation of Stroygazconsulting Ilya Likhachev, the company hopes to gain economic effect of implementation "due to decrease in management and logistic costs, data integration and bigger efficiency of information".

In a project deliverable the Stroygazconsulting company will receive a full-function enterprise management system with detailed planning of the main business process of the company – constructions. Besides, management of material flows, finance, the corporate reporting, accounting and tax accounting will be automated.

By estimates of LANITA, it is one of the most large-scale projects where the functionality of the SAP ERP system will be applied to implementation of tasks in industrial construction. Stroygazconsulting noted that are going to implement the project completely "within several years", and refused to comment on its exact terms and the budget.
