2023: Mobile Data Center Installation
A large-scale reconstruction of the marine bulk-oil terminal in the waters of the Azov-Black Sea basin - the transshipment complex of oil, oil products and LPG of the company "" OTEK(OTEKO loading terminal) continues in Taman. In December 2023, in order to develop the existing telecommunication infrastructure, the company installed a container-mounted mobile (data center World Data Centre) for six server racks, 90% equipped with Russian production equipment. The implementation of this task as part of the strategy was undertaken by import substitution the company, ART Engineering which announced this in February 2024.
The mobile data center had to be assembled and delivered to the facility in a short time - in just three months. The availability of our own full-cycle production and our own technical solutions helped us to quickly fulfill the order. We also used ART Engineering products as part of the World Data Centre for the first time: DataTower series telecommunication cabinets and Industrial series fault-tolerant power distributors with remote monitoring, which have proven themselves well in larger capital data centers, "said Artem Stenyushkin, Commercial Director of ART Engineering, a domestic manufacturer of solutions for telecommunications infrastructure. |
The data center at the OTEKO loading terminal will solve several important tasks of strategic development of the enterprise's IT infrastructure. World Data Centre is necessary for georeservation of critical services, will perform the functions of a backup system data storage and will allow dividing the infrastructure in order to develop new communication lines for connecting other information and automation systems.
The equipment is designed for operation in an aggressive marine climate and has improved corrosion protection of steel structures. World Data Centre is equipped with all the necessary engineering life support systems: climatic equipment, autonomous gas fire extinguishing system, uninterruptible power supply systems, video surveillance, uninterruptible power supply, as well as remote access control and control (MCDS).
The OTEKO loading terminal is located in the industrial area of the Taman Peninsula, in the port of Taman. The complex was commissioned in 2012 and includes a LPG transfer terminal and a petroleum product terminal with a total capacity of 19.9 million tons per year, designed to transfer LPG, oil and petroleum products arriving by rail to sea transport.
