2023: Implementation of Robin platform in 19 executive authorities

In 2023, dozens of workflows were optimized in 19 executive bodies of St. Petersburg by introducing software robots on the ROBIN platform from SL Soft (Softline Group of Companies). Thanks to robotization, it was possible to release more than 150 thousand man-hours per year. Softline announced this on February 9, 2024.

A competence center was created at the St. Petersburg Information and Analytical Center (St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise "St. Petersburg IAC"), whose employees developed and launched 46 robots in 19 authorities on the ROBIN platform. For 2023, the processes in the Finance Committee, the Committee on Economic Policy and Strategic Planning, the Health Committee, the Housing Committee, Gorzhilobmen, the Parking Management Center and others are robotic.

One of the key tasks that the project has solved is the elimination of errors due to the human factor in routine workflows. All development was carried out by business analysts and employees of the competence center. This is the first project when robotization processes in such a volume are introduced into the sphere of public administration.

Thanks to software robotization, specialists from government agencies stopped processing even during peak loads, instead of routine tasks, they can do more diverse and responsible work, and fewer employees are required for new areas of activity. For example, in the Finance Committee, the robotization of documentation approval processes has reduced the processing time by three times. Consequently, the exchange of documents and payment to counterparties and the provision of services by them accelerated.

As of February 2024, employees of St. Petersburg IAC are working on the robotization of the task, which is relevant for 64 city organizations and departments, while 350 employees are involved in this workflow in only one of the committees.

We plan to cover all routine processes related to the activities of the Government of St. Petersburg. The competence center was created in the IAC just to conduct and popularize this project. Having studied the ROBIN platform, we realized that the technology is much more versatile than it seems at the first acquaintance, and has many possibilities. This is a simple and quick solution that gives results almost instantly, - explained Mikhail Korablev, head of the department for the development of promising projects at St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise "St. Petersburg IAC." - Our plans include even more robots on the ROBIN platform and pilot projects to implement AI and OCR modules.

We follow with great interest the development of this large-scale project in the state authorities of St. Petersburg. And we are glad that processes of social significance are robotic on the ROBIN platform. This reduces the burden on employees of departments and has a positive effect on life in the city, improving the user experience of people who interact with government organizations, - said Pavel Borchenko, Managing Director of ROBIN, SL Soft. - The experience of specialists from the competence center of St. Petersburg IAC is very valuable, and it should be replicated in other regions.
