2024: Moving to the PIX RPA Platform

Gold mining company Highland Gold has transferred robotization projects to the PIX RPA platform from PIX Robotics. Robots participate in the migration of data from different accounting systems to a single ERP system without losing information and help automate routine operations in finance and procurement departments. PIX Robotics announced this on February 12, 2024.

Highland Gold is actively implementing digital technologies and innovations to streamline its business processes, improve workplace security and improve resource utilization. In particular, since 2020, Highland Gold has been using RPA technology to increase efficiency and reduce the cost of routine operations, and at the end of 2023 the company transferred key robotization projects to the Russian PIX RPA platform.

One of the important tasks where robots are occupied is to help in the process of migrating data from different accounting systems to a single ERP. Robots help where classic automation tools are impractical. For example, with a line-by-line transfer, hundreds of simple operations, when manual labor takes several days, and the robot copes in a few hours. Robots are involved in migrating historical data, such as counterparty information or inventory balances. This approach allows you to reduce the time required to complete tasks and reduce the likelihood of human errors.

In addition, software robots automate business processes in the finance and procurement departments, where there is a high level of routine tasks. So, on the basis of the PIX RPA platform, the Highland Gold competence center has developed a notification system for the preparation of financial documents and payments. And in the procurement department, the robot plays the role of a hub for the distribution of purchase requisitions with all initial introductory ones and spends less than one minute on this.

The Highland Gold team is deeply immersed in the RPA theme and has wisely approached the transfer of robots to the Russian platform. Most often, software robots "enter" the company through finance, procurement or HR departments, where there is a standard large amount of repetitive routine tasks. However, data migration to ERP is an increasingly popular job for digital assistants, especially when classic automation tools are too expensive or impractical in a particular case.
