The Mariupol sea trade port implements software of replication of data

Business Continuity International completed Double-Take implementation project in "The Mariupol sea trade port".

Prerequisites

Work of trade port assumes the round-the-clock execution of works and any delays of process are inadmissible therefore strict requirements in ensuring business continuity are imposed to an information system of the company.

Earlier in the company replication of data at the file system level using rsync was used built in InterSystems Cache-технология DBMS of shadow database replication and also.

"The Mariupol trade port" purchased two licenses Double-Take Availability.

Project

Process of implementing solution occupied six working days and took place in 3 stages:

1. Creation of a test cluster similar to main system for working off of installation process and configuring of Double-Take Availability – 2 days; 2. Process of testing of a trial system - 2 days; 3. Modification of main system - 2 days.

Result

Thanks to the implementing solution Double-Take Availability the main task – ensuring replication of data in real time was solved. The selected product also gave ability to integrate with technology of a clustering of Microsoft, parallel placement and data-refresh on each node of a cluster (instead of placement them on the general disk array) and also a possibility of replication of data at the lowest level for ensuring correct work with Cache DBMS of InterSystems company.
