2024: Co-owner of tour operator "Alean" bought a hotel
On February 20, 2024, it became known that Ilya Umansky, co-owner of the Alean tour operator, signed a deal to buy the Hilton Garden Inn Moscow New Riga, located in Istra, a 30-minute drive from Moscow along the Novorizhskoye highway. The seller was Amtel Properties of Sudhir Gupta's family.
Hilton Garden Inn Moscow New Riga opened in 2012. The area of the complex is approximately 14.2 thousand square meters. The hotel belongs to the category of "four stars" and has about 160 rooms, including rooms for people with disabilities. There is a swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and gym, nine conference rooms, as well as an all-season marquee for various events. The hotel provides ample opportunities for summer and winter recreation: tennis courts, playgrounds, ATV and snowmobile rental, ice skating. The surrounding area has equipped walking areas, lounges and barbecues, a pond and a beach area.
The amount of the transaction as of the specified date has not been officially disclosed. According to the Kommersant newspaper, referring to the statements of the managing partner of Ivashkevich Hospitality Stanislav Ivashkevich, the cost of the facility can range from 2 to 3 billion rubles. In his opinion, these investments can be recouped on average in 12 years, and the construction of a SPA center with an area of 1.5-2 thousand square meters on the territory of the hotel can become a promising direction of development.
It is noted that Hilton Garden Inn Moscow New Riga is the first hotel project "Aleana" in the suburbs. The company itself says that it is "eyeing this direction." The tour operator has five facilities under the Aleean brand in the Krasnodar Territory, and in 2021 the company announced its intention to create a complex in Crimea for 2 thousand rooms.[1]
