Co-owner of the Yaroslavl distillery Alexander Mosyakin bought 25% of Eureka
In June 2024, changes took place in the ownership structure of the Russian manufacturer of premium vodka Organika: Alexander Mosyakin, co-owner of the Yaroslavl Distillery (YALVZ), acquired a 25% stake in Eureka LLC (owner of Organika and Organika Life brands).
According to Kommersant, Alexander Mosyakin consolidated a stake previously owned by the company's co-founder Renat Khuzin, who resigned from the founders. The cost of the acquired share, according to market experts, could range from 37.5 to 75 million rubles.
After the transaction, among the co-owners of Eureka LLC, in addition to Alexander Mosyakin, the former head Sberbank Andrei Kazmin (12.5%), Alla Kazmina (37.6%), Alexander Brinza (14.9%) and LLC "" UCS Solutions(10%) remain. It is noteworthy that among the owners of the latter company are former top managers of Sberbank - Kirill Polishkin and Jan Weizman.
Organika vodka is positioned on the market as a premium product, the cost of which starts from 950 rubles per bottle. Production is carried out at the facilities of the Yaroslavl Distillery, co-owned by Alexander Mosyakin.
Alcohol market experts note that the Organika brand, although not a leader in the premium segment, has potential for growth. This is due to the general trend of increasing vodka consumption in Russia and growing interest in premium brands.
According to Rosalkogoltabakkontrol, in the first half of 2024, vodka production in Russia increased by 5.9% compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 35.2 million decaliters. The output of all spirits increased by 10.5%, reaching 51.7 million decaliters.
Vadim Drobiz, head of the Center for Research on Federal and Regional Alcohol Markets, notes that expensive vodka occupies about 25% of the market. The expert connects the growth in vodka consumption with the traditional crisis trend and an increase in the number of consumers in connection with the accession of new regions.[1]
PSK - New Solutions was bought by 10% of Eureka LLC
On February 20, 2024, it became known that PSK-Solutions LLC, owned by former top managers of Sberbank, acquired a 10% stake in Eureka LLC, which owns premium brands of Organika and Organika Life vodka. There is no information on the estimated amount of the transaction as of the specified date.
PSK-Solutions is owned by Kirill Polishkin (is its general director) and Jan Weizman. The first previously served as deputy director of the department for work with the largest clients of Sberbank CIB, and the second headed the bank's department for work with clients of metallurgy and mining. The enterprise "PSK-Solutions" is registered in Moscow. The main type of work is consulting on commercial activities and management, additional areas are monetary mediation, the activities of holding companies, investment funds and similar financial organizations.
According to the Kommersant newspaper, Organika is produced at the Yaroslavl Distillery (YALVZ). In January 2024, Bryanskspirtprom (BSP) received a declaration for the production of vodka under this brand. Market participants believe that premium vodka brands have growth potential, which is due to the departure of popular whiskey producers from Russia due to the formed geopolitical situation.
According to estimates, in 2023, sales of Organika vodka rose by 16.6% on an annualized basis - to almost 44 thousand nine-liter boxes. This corresponds to the fourth place in the rating of "premium plus" after vodka brands Beluga (Novabev Group), Nerpa ("Baikal") and Absolut (Pernod Ricard). Fifth place belongs to Finlandia (Brown-Forman). Moreover, Pernod Ricard and Brown-Forman stopped activities in the Russian Federation due to a special operation in Ukraine. Ex-bankers[2]
