SharePoint for Energy Systems of the East

Creation of a corporate portal based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 started at the end of August, 2010, now specialists of RAO ES of the East and Corus Consulting are engaged in debugging of the ready version and user training to work with a system.

According to the director of IT of JSC RAO ES of the East Konstantin Podlesny, creation of a portal system is an important step for holding on the way of consolidation of information flows.

"8 subsidiary companies, the majority of which also the subsidiaries and affiliates (DZO) have, are a part of structure of "RAO Energy Systems of East". The main problem is that information is transferred to management company insufficiently quickly, and it from the different sources working according to different standards arrives. For the solution of this problem we create internal portals which perform a number of office functions in each DZO and management company. Especially, this step becomes relevant in the conditions of gradation of holding on a corporate management system with sole executive body", - Konstantin Podlesny says.
