Opening of "Extranet" for all hotels

Yandex Travel has open access for all hotels to a specialized digital platform - Extranet. This was Yandex announced on February 28, 2024. Now any hotel, recreation center or glamping can access all the features of Yandex Travel. The solution will make it easier to access the multimillion-dollar audience of the service for hotels, especially regional mini-hotels and glamping. Users will receive a larger selection and more accurate information about rooms and services.

Tens of thousands of guest houses, recreation centers, glamping and mini-hotels practically do not automate sales, but they would like to post offers for the Yandex Travel audience. The tourism business is already preparing for the summer season, and our users are actively planning their vacation, "said Pavel Alyoshin, head of Yandex Travel. - The trend for domestic tourism increases the demand for new hotels - both in popular regions and in directions that users are only developing. Our hotel platform makes it much easier for small and medium-sized businesses to enter this market. And from expanding the choice among good and affordable hotels, the main customers - tourists - ultimately benefit. Therefore, we will continue to invest resources in working with hotels, including in the development of technological solutions.

All representatives of the hotel business, both legal entities and individual entrepreneurs and self-employed, can connect to the platform. For everyone, access is free.

Registration will not take long. It is enough to indicate data about the hotel, information about rooms and fares, upload photos and register cancellation rules. After moderation, the hotel will appear in Yandex Travel and will be visible to all users. If some conditions change, the hotelier will be able to update the information on the platform. Service support will help with any questions.

Previously, hotels could connect to Yandex Travel only through technical partners - channel managers. This option is still available.

The ability to book accommodation for companies from three to ten people

On February 21, 2024, Yandex Travel added the ability to book housing for companies from three to ten people. It is enough to choose a city and indicate how many people participate in the trip. The service will offer hotels ready to accept the entire company, and will show resettlement options - it remains only to choose the most suitable one. For example, it will be convenient for someone to be accommodated with ten men in five rooms, and for someone three will be enough.

It is not necessary to enter the details of all guests when booking - you can specify one contact person. If breakfasts are included in the cost of accommodation, Yandex Travel will automatically take into account their cost for all guests.

A survey by Yandex Travel showed that Russians often travel in large companies. Two-thirds of participants (66%) said that they traveled to new places by the company up to 5 people, 16% traveled in groups of 6 to 10 people, and 9% - in groups of more than 10 people.

When looking for accommodation during group trips, the majority of Russians (53%) use online booking services, 19% are guided by the recommendations of friends, and every tenth turns to a travel agent.

Most often, during a collective trip, the company couples settle together (63%). 13% of tourists are accommodated by number, depending on the budget, and the same number are guided only by their own comfort - they do as they want. A quarter of the respondents noted that when traveling by the company, it is important for them that everyone has personal space. About 40% replied that they were only willing to live in the same room with close friends or family members. 16% agree to live with strangers, and another 15% are ready to take such a step in order to save money, but they will be uncomfortable.

1277 citizens of the Russian Federation over 18 years old participated in the Yandex Travel survey. The survey was conducted in January 2024 in all federal districts of Russia.
