Petersburg Metro will spend hundreds of millions more on SAP while preparing to move to 1C

In March 2024, the Petersburg Metropolitan plans to select an executor to provide support services for the corporate information system for enterprise management. The organization published on the public procurement portal a corresponding tender with an initial price of about 678.6 million rubles^[1].

It follows from the terms of reference that automation of the vast majority of processes implemented in the enterprise management system is based on SAP products. We are talking about such processes as accounting and reporting, management accounting, maintenance, accounting for materials and services, investments, contracts, planning of financial results, etc.

But the system also uses other products: from OpenText, Microsoft, SGTransport, 1C. On "1C," in particular, such areas as hotel, pharmacy, medicine, dining room are automated.

The services that are required to be provided to the St. Petersburg Metropolitan are divided into three categories: services for technical support of the corporate information system of enterprise management, for support of the business functions of the system and for user support.

The contract with the contractor for services will be designed for three years - from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2027.

The previous agreement for the maintenance of the corporate information system of enterprise management is also designed for three years - until March 31, 2024. It was concluded in 2021 with Viarait. According to the current version of this contract, its volume is about 681 million rubles.

The enterprise management system based on SAP Petersburg Metro has been using for about 20 years, since the beginning of the 2000s. In August 2023, TAdviser found out that the organization had launched a project to replace it with domestic software with coverage of all enterprise processes that require automation and digitalization. Then the St. Petersburg Metro told TAdviser that at that time preparatory measures were taken to prepare for migration from the existing ERP system to the domestic production system and the formation of a terms of reference for design and implementation was carried out.
