1C: Archive 3.0 is further development of 1C: Archive also includes a large number of changes which expand systems capabilities and do its operation by even more effective.
Main innovations
- support of scanning of images including stream is added.
- the feature for automatic image understanding is added (only OCR the version).
- quick search of documents by the name and the comment is added.
- document retrieval in folders taking into account subfolders is implemented.
- the feature to specify the comment on the folder, storage of the author and date of creation of the folder is added
- storage of history of the sent and accepted messages is added
- in a client part the navigation bar which stores the history of work with documents and folders was added, it can be used for fast link navigation
- text references and labels on documents and folders which allow to exchange links to objects 1C are supported: Archive by means of Internet pagers, chats, conferences and other means.
- the utility of setup of the server is added.
- the right of access is added "Move".
- possibilities of transfer (Drag&Drop) of documents are improved.
- export of folders without restriction for the number of subfolders is implemented.
1C: The archive is a document management system of an enterprise scale and is intended for increase in efficiency of collective work of employees with archives of electronic documents and control of performing discipline. Maintaining archive of all documents of the enterprise in a folder hierarchy of 1C: The archive allows to organize the centralized storage of all documents of your organization, to structure them according to folders subject heading lists and to provide collective access for employees both on a local network, and on the Internet.
Collective access and editing
1C: The archive provides collective access for employees to documents for viewing and editing, maintains integrity of documents at simultaneous editing by several users, automatically saves all document revisions. The built-in means of exchanging messages and issues of instructions allow to accelerate considerably collective work with documents and to increase its quality. Storage of all document revisions
1C: The archive automatically saves all document revisions and allows to return to the necessary version at any moment or to compare any two document revisions. Each version has the author and the short comments characterizing it differences from previous. Full-text search is conducted according to all document revisions, and not just on the last. Security and protection against unauthorized access (NSD)
1C: The archive contains the developed management tools user rights and allows to set different access rights to the folder subject heading lists and to the documents which are contained in them for different users. Access rights are checked by 8 criteria at accomplishment of any transactions with documents. The most important, in terms of security policy of transaction are entered in the administrative report which is subject to audit by the administrator.
Issue of instructions and control of execution
1C: The archive allows to issue instructions, to select contractors or groups of contractors, to set control terms and to automatically send notifications to employees about receipt of new instructions. It is possible to associate the document of a 1C system with each order: Archive, in this case it is marked with a special icon when viewing the document list in the folder. The performed instructions automatically arrive on control to the executive in charge. 1C: The archive allows to make reports on execution of instructions both on certain contractors, and on groups of contractors. Quick search of the necessary information
1C: The archive of the version contains means of document retrieval both according to details of an accounting and registration card, and according to contents (full-text search) taking into account Russian morphology. The system of search is based on MS SQL the server and allows to find instantly the necessary documents at any volume of accumulated information.
1C: The archive is implemented in three-level architecture the client-server and intended for work only in the network mode. Below characteristics of the main a system component are considered.
"Thin" client
Client Part 1C: Archive the "thin" client who means minimization of calculations on client side and their transfer on more powerful server computers is executed according to technology. It reaches economy of resources of client computers and does possible use of a system on the broadest spectrum of ADP equipment.
Simple and ergonomic interface
Appearance of client Part 1C: Archive it is very similar to the normal conductor of Windows (Explorer). It allows to get used quickly to the program and to begin to use effectively it. The system of the menu and dialogs is intuitive and accompanied by electronic documentation. As an example of "friendliness" of the 1C interface: Archive it is possible to bring russification of many system error messages work-related into networks or access to files. Server part
Server 1C: Archive accumulates in itself all logic of system operation, interacts with client applications and creates requests for the SQL server for obtaining the necessary data. The server is implemented in multithreaded SMP to architecture and provides symmetric, independent request processing of different users. Server 1C: Archive it can be started as Windows NT service. Use of MS SQL and MS Access
For storage of service information 1C: The archive can use the database of the MS Access (MDB) or MS SQL format the server (is not included in the delivery).
1C: Archive in the Internet
In spite of the fact that client and server Part 1C: Archive can interact with each other on the Internet, the additional WebPortal technology which provides access for users to archives of documents using normal web of the browser on the basis of integration with MS IIS is included in the package. Any document of a 1C system: The archive can be sent by e-mail (MAPI) or on 1C: To e-mail.

Specifications
A system is implemented in modern highly effective three-level architecture the client-server. All service information is stored in the tables MS SQL of the server or in a DB of the MS Access (MDB) format, document files are stored in the special structure of the Windows NT directories of the server protected from direct access of users. Server 1C: Archive accumulates in itself logic of system operation, processes requests of client software programs and interacts with MS SQL the server for data processing. A client part of a system implements a user interface, interacts with the applications installed on the local computer for viewing and editing documents and provides information exchange with server 1C: Archive. For network interaction between the client and the server the popular and high-performance TCP/IP and Named Pipes protocols are used that allows to use a system as in the normal local area network, so in the Internet/intranet/extranet.
Any of a component of a system does not impose specific requirements to program and the hardware of workstations and servers. For example, for service of 50 users as the server computer it is possible to use the normal workstation.
As data source the MS SQL Server 6.5/7.0 or the database of the MS Access 97 (MDB) format can be used.
