The ministry of information technologies and communications of Sverdlovsk region uses virtual resources of Megafon

The all-Russian telecom operator and the mobile Internet MegaFon began to provide to the Ministry of information technologies and communication of Sverdlovsk region services of own data processing center (DPC) in lease of virtual computing resources. The DPC will become a basis for placement of the information systems used by the ministry for rendering in electronic form the public and municipal services, including the Internet portals which will allow Ural residents to solve in the online mode pressing problems on interaction with authorities, reducing a distance between citizens and the power.

The services provided by MegaFon – it is more, than a hosting. It not just placement of computing resources, but also providing channels of access, highly skilled support, round-the-clock monitoring, reservation of information. Placement of the equipment in a highly reliable data processing center provides the maximum protection of services which are required including for implementation of priority problems of the state.

Based on the virtual server platform the Ministry of information technologies and communications of Sverdlovsk region starts a number of pilot projects - the portal of the public electronic services www.gosuslugi.ru, the project of WEB ACCESS to medical services starting with electronic making an appointment with the doctor, the information websites and portals of executive bodies of the government which are based on the single technological solution. The first of these services - the Portal of the public and municipal services of Sverdlovsk region of http://pgu.midural.ru is already set, passed overload tests and is ready to wide use by the population of the area.
