YuTK transferred the hardware IT platform to IBM Power6 base

JSC YuTK and IBM completed upgrade of the existing hardware platform of YuTK which was transferred to IBM Power 6. Alternation of generations of a hardware platform provided to the operator additional computing powers for crucial business applications – the systems of billing and the ERP system.

In the first quarter 2010 JSC YuTK carried out upgrade of the existing platform, having passed from the previous generation of High-End of architecture of IBM Power 5+ to High-End the IBM Power 6 platform. Supply of equipment was performed by the business partner of IBM, NVision Group company.

Need to increase the computing potential which is necessary for maintenance of continuity of business processes and also is capable to answer flexibly and quickly those tasks which face IT departments of YuTK was one of the main criteria of upgrade of the existing platform.

"By our calculations to cut down use of technology of virtualization of Ibmpozvolilo to 30% of expenses on purchase of additional processor capacities and memory that corresponds modern successful world practices in the field of IT", - the CIO of JSC YuTK Borodin Stanislav noted.
