2024: Product Announcement
On March 13, 2024, Tinkoff Investments announced the launch of the T-venture venture investment platform. It will help companies with high growth potential get funds from retail investors to develop and scale the business.
Tinkoff notes that many startups appear on the market, which need funding for multiple growth and successful implementation of projects. However, due to its small size, such companies cannot conduct an initial public offering (IPO). The T-Venture platform is designed to draw attention to such projects by opening them access to financing in accordance with "best exchange practices."
At the first stage, the T-Venture platform will concentrate on conducting a Pre-IPO - this is one of the late stages of financing a private company, usually preceding an IPO. Growing companies with a confirmed business model will be able to raise funds under the Pre-IPO scheme. In the future, instruments for attracting debt financing will appear on the platform. For T-Venture, there is a secondary circulation of securities: this will ensure the liquidity of instruments and make them attractive to private investors.
To receive funding using a new investment platform, potential issuers need to provide Tinkoff Investments analysts with data about the company. After the analysis, information about the startup will appear in the Tinkoff Investments application in the What to Buy section. After entering the Pre-IPO, the company's shares can be purchased and sold through the application.
We digitalized the logic of venture capital investments - everything became available online in the best traditions of Tinkoff. Now it is not only venture fund owners or business angels who can invest in promising startups: it will be possible to support developing entrepreneurs right in the Tinkoff Investments application, says Dilshod Ibragimov, sales manager of Tinkoff Investments[1] |
