2024: Product Announcement
In mid-March 2024, it became known that Salyutdevais, a former subsidiary of Sberbank, was engaged in the production of video conferencing terminals (VKS). Devices designed to organize online meetings are produced under the Sber brand.
According to the Vedomosti newspaper, in March 2024, the Salyutdevais company (called Sberdevais until May 2022) received a certificate for the mass production of VKS terminals. In January 2023, it became known that Sberdevices is no longer part of the bank's group, but the Salyutdevais online store continues to operate under the Sberdevices brand for March 2024 and receive certificates labeled Sber.
The Salyutdevais certificate for the production of Sber VKS terminals indicates two production sites. One of them is located in Moscow at 32 Kutuzovsky Prospekt, which is the legal address of the company itself. The second site is located in China in the Honghui Industry Zone (Shenzhen).
The general director of the agency TelecomDailyDenis Kuskov estimates the Russian VKS market, taking into account equipment, online services and technical support services, at 15 billion rubles at the end of 2022. In 2023, the volume of this industry increased to 19.7 billion rubles. Kuskov notes that VKS are primarily cloud solutions, for example, SberJazz, Zoom, etc. At the same time, there are companies that "are not interested in the clouds, because they want their conversations to remain private." It is for such customers that VKS terminals are focused. However, according to the interlocutor of Vedomosti in one of the companies that develop VKS services, the decision from Salyutdevais is unlikely to be able to claim a noticeable share, since "there are already experienced players with mature products on the market."[1]
