2021: Implementation of an intelligent platform for production management and planning

The ZBT enterprise had the task of optimizing the business processes of the production system. It was necessary to understand how to fulfill orders on time with an increase in production volumes. To solve this problem, the IMZ successfully implemented a project to implement an intelligent platform for production management and planning from BFG Group. The goal of the project was to implement end-to-end planning and production management from the strategic level to the issuance of shift-daily tasks to workers.

Within the framework of the project, the following works were carried out:

• Stage of collection, verification and validation; data
• A simulation production model has been created;
• A reengineering project has been developed (a portfolio of orders has been defined that ensures maximum profit; optimal resource utilization; changes have been made to the equipment; Measures have been taken to reduce the lead time the order of the order start date is calculated; change of work shift and rules of batch formation);
• BFG platform for automation of production planning and dispatching has been implemented.

Project results:

• Increased performance by 50%;
• Reduced production cycles by 20%;
• Reduced WIP by 30%;
• Increased transparency and manageability of production.
