2024: The start of serial production of glazing of driver's cabins for trains "Moscow-2024"

ONPP "Technologiya" named after A.G. Romashina State corporations Rostec began serial production of glazing of driver's cabins for metropolitan metro Moscow trains "-2024." The first sets for the head cars have already been sent to the customer. Rostec announced this on March 25, 2024.

The main feature of the products is an ultra-thin metal oxide film that is applied to the glazing surface. The thickness of this layer is no more than 60 nM - thinner than a human hair. The coating conducts an electric current that evenly heats the structure. Thanks to this, the glass retains full transparency in frost and during temperature changes. For example, when the train leaves the tunnel to an open section of the line.

The technology makes it possible to manufacture structures with complex geometry and futuristic design. As, for example, frontal glazing for Moscow-2024 trains, as well as for Baltiets cars running in the St. Petersburg metro. In total, we will manufacture glazing sets for 40 trains of the Moscow subway and another 7 for St. Petersburg, in addition to the 26 already delivered. Participation in these projects once again confirms Rostec's high positions in the field of high-tech glazing, where the Corporation occupies 70% of the Russian market as of March 2024, Rostec said.
